Fig jam recipe

 

  • 2 # fruit
  • 300g (10.5 oz) sugar
  • 1/4 C water or brandy or white port
  • 1/4 C lemon juice (1 big or 2 small lemons)
  • pinch of salt
  1. Chop into 1/2″ slices.
  2. Throw in sugar and water / liquor. Bring to a boil.
  3. Lower to simmer and cook 30-60 min, until thick. Masher optional.
